AU Languages

There are many kinds of AU languages. Some of them are named with an au in their own language. Others have their au come from their English name, or Cantonese name, or another language. Many that we utilize don't have au in their name, but rather just in their words. We use all languages that we can, but place emphasis on larger languages and dictionary-available endangered languages. Languages like French, German, Norwegian, Cantonese, and English; are all huge assets to us. Smaller ones like Occitan, Hawai'ian, Hokkien, Malay, Indonesian, Georgian, Lithuanian, and Latvian are also important to us. Those are only some of the examples. Currently I haven't utilized any non-popular indigenous language into my project because those dictionaries require buying books and paying close attention to the culture. While paying attention to the culture is necessary for the AU Club to work...I simply don't know enough about the bigger ones yet! I'm still in the beginning of the project despite working on it for years at this point. It will take time and membership before many goals can be reached.

Unless these words are spelled with an au, we can only give credit, kudos, and information about them. And work to preserve them.

English

The language of the website and one the founder speaks, obviously. This language incorporates au from other related European languages like French, German, and Latin. However, it is also the foundational support for many romanization features. Because of English's huge influence so many languages can use these two letters as their vowels.
