Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

The AU Club is an invention by the very same person writing this. It is a part of a greater project, the Two-Letter Foundation. It is both a fantasy of hers as well as a realistic vision. The fantasy might never be published or created in a viewable format on a public space. But the *club* absolutely will be if I possibly can. The club is currently in its infancy. It really hasn't even been born yet, it's still a fetus. The idea is that people with au in their names come together and do au things. What are au things? Not anything a person named au can do, but rather words that have au in them. Eating aubergines in a restaurant? An au thing. Eating them at your friends house? Its au in German. Going to a comedy club? Doing something to incur laughter. Taking a road trip in your automobile to Bordeaux, France? Bringing your daughters with you there? All of these are au things. We absolutely mix languages and cultures here. Without them, we'd have no standing. Just note that it is authoritarian by nature. I create it, and I say what goes. But ultimately its a social club, and I'm hoping that one day it'll be huge with multiple locations everywhere. But for now, its just based in where I live. There are currently no members or membership, as the website and other things I'd need to have it running are under construction and life planning and building. I hope that this could be a great source of au information so that we can do au things together.

Note that membership is only given to those with au names. Different kinds of limited/restricted memberships are allowed to the people they care about (family and close friends) and to people who are associated with au things by nature of their place or craft (cauliflower farmers, Australian immigrants outside of Australia...). The au can be in any part of anyone's name. Audrey Laura Bureau. Nor does it have to be English, so long as it's romanized. (insert example here). And no, it doesn't have to be all the words in your name. Just one will do. Even my name doesn't have it in each part. Note that the meet the team, if visible on the website, is false and made by Wix automatically. For now, there is only me.

Our Story

The AU Club originated as an in-joke. It represented a different kind of club, a celebrity club or cult, if you will. But now it represents all things au. It wasn't hard to go from the shortened name to..."hmm...what if...au letters...for all things au?" but it did take a long time for this to get situated in my head and initialized into this form that it is today.
